Christmas this year was celebrated with an atmosphere of spirituality and celebration. The celebrations began with the singing of Christmas carols through the streets of Nagari town, announcing the birth of Christ to everyone. The Christmas midnight eucharistic celebrated in a grand manner. However, the highlight of the day was the visit of the number of the people from Nagari town and nearby villages to the church. Many people paid visit to the church to pray and receive the blessing and prasadam from the morning till late in the evening. Similar situation was also witnessed on the New Years day.
Youth Seminar with the title “Know Yourself” was organized for the parish youth group on the 16thof October. 35 young men and women from the parish attended this workshop. The workshop helps the participants to understand their strengths and struggles in personal and marital relations and ways to optimize the strengths and overcome struggles. This was facilitated by psychotherapist Fr. Tamilselvam OFM (cap).
The end of the month of Rosary (month of October) was celebrated with a solemn Eucharistic celebration and car procession. The entire parish community participated in this celebration with enthusiasm and prayed the Holy rosary.
The annual parish festival was celebrated in a grand manner. The feast began with the hoisting of the flag on the 2nd of September and each day was celebrated with car procession in the church campus, novena to Our Lady of Good Health and Holy mass. On the 10th of September car procession was conducted through the main streets of Nagari town and the feast concluded with the festive mass on the 11th. The Nagari mission was started by Fr. Paul Kuripilli, the then parish priest of Reniguta parish. This mission comprised of a few surrounding villages like Ekambarakuppam, Iruguvai Gundrajakuppam and a few villages in the present Tamilnadu state.
